Saints basketball game

We lost a tough one, in the final minute of the game, we were up most of the game and played hard against the 5 time defending league champions. We have a lot of things to be excited about and a lot of season left, we also had a great student section supporting us.

Different Poem

I read over the poem "From violence to peace" and i liked it. Something up about the poem was intriguing it might have been how he started the poem, and giving the reader detail about his life and how he could've been dead. That was what got me most and made me realize you never know when your time will come so live every day like it's your last.

Something interesting

Something i find pretty interesting the life of a homeless person. This can be touchy subject for some people but to me it's sort of interesting. If i had a chance to sit down and talk to someone that is homeless and  lives in the street i would have so many questions to ask.

MY MAD DREAM OF AN ESSAY

The choices you make in the moment can impact yours or anybody else future in a huge way. We see this in everyday life, one persons choice of wanting to use their cell phone can cause another person to be severely injured or killed in some cases. One expirence that i had with making a descion that messed up in the future was the descion to argue with my sister and keep on going when my mom told me to stop, this caused me to get phone taken away and to be grounded for a couple weeks. It was all because i was in the heat of the moment and didn't think about the consequences in the future. One example from "A sound of Thunder" was Eckels choice to get off the path and accidentally step on the butterfly. This was what caused the election of the president to change in the future and what actually led to Eckels death. There are many examples from the story "on Slef Reliance" but i chose a quote that says "Nothing can you bring you peace but yourself". This quote is great example of making a descion that will affect your future because you pretty much hold your future in future in your hands and you make great descions to affect your future or you can make bad descions that will affect you in a negative way.

The career festival was a great expirience. I went to different career booths, and learned about different routes to take after high school. There is many options in the future and I was able to get some information about them.
The debate between Hillary Clinton and Domald Trump to has caused the people of the U.S to worry about the status of the country. Both of these candidates have a history of not being the best people, and neither of them seem to be trust worthy. As the

Respect my Authority

My parents and my coach are figures that are there to push me and support me because they want the best for me in life. They know how to get the best out of me. My coach knows what drives me on the court and my parents know what drives me to do homework and clean up around the house. Though there are figures that that affect my willingness to be myself in public such as the police. When I'm in public and I see a police officer it sort of changes my thinking, and I get an odd feeling knowing they have a power over me, that no one else has.

My Aeries

The grade on my essay is understandable, I believe I could have been more clear in my writing and I know what to clean up for the next essay. I think I deserve about a C grade, there's many things I need to improve on in the class, it was a little different getting adjusted to a new learning style but now that we are in the swing of things I know what needs to be done. I'm excited to keeping learning new things everyday in this course.

Conscience of a Hacker

Conscience of a Hacker really connects with myself as a reader. I feel that the the writer is getting his point across to many high school readers that read this story. Not all students are the same and all students have a different type of creativity, students do not have the same ability as others to just sit in classes all day and write what sometimes can be pointless sentences. Some students have the ability to express their creativity in ways such as hacking and/or drawing etc.

The Earth on Turtle’s Back

The Earth on turtles back is a short story that portrays heroism. Once the muskrat had the earth and brought it back up, the whole mood of the story seemed to change it was as if she brought back life. The woman had let the seeds fall and life began to come alive on the soil.
Welcome to my blog page. Excited to be in Dr. Prestons class and also looking forward to learning in a new way.
