Today i learned that classmates have very different thoughts about life and the world, and it was cool because i actually got to get a little insight on what thoughts they think in their brain. I really liked the  topic about "why we go to war" and "why is it okay for police officers to over abuse their powers", also observed how several people are hard to hear because they talk very low in front of the class.

• How Psychedelic drugs affect the brain.
• I surfed the internet and watch a couple videos on youtube.
• I learned that a physcedlic drug is a medication meant to alter cognition and perception.
• One way i sort of relate this topic to the class is how these drugs are said to make you see the world differently and your brain is thinking very differently when you're in a regular state of mind, just like when i come into this class i know my brain and thoughts are gonna be used differently then others. None of my other classes do socratic seminars or write down thoughts in a journal every class which is how my brain is used differently.

I do know that Momtag kill a beaty, but i am not sure why he did it.

part 2 questions

1. Mildred misses watching tv with her family and is scared to have the house burned down, and Montag is just wondering why book lovers love books so much.
2. He wonders why nobody talks about the war and why he cannot hear about it.

Story Questions

1. It's pleasureable because maybe he has read so many books and he's just got tired of them so it was a relief to burn them. 
2. the books are compared to birds becuase birds deaths are not easy to watch and Bradbury wants us to know that books do have a meaning.
3. Montag's life is easy going and Clarisses life in full of unanswered questions.
4. the technology in the novel is just like today's technology becuase they talk about flat screens and headphones. The technology doesn't improve their life because Bradbury keeps him apart from the technology.
5. I think the narrator introduces Montag at this time becuase maybe his life is just getting interesting.
6. The author introduces us to Clarisse before Mildred because his wife was probably not around when Montag met Clarisse.
7. The houses are fireproof because of people buying the books and they don't want the houses ruined.
8. Mildred overdosed on pills and she received a medical doctor for help.
9. The hound is a robotic dog that watches over Montag.
10. Clarisse is not like everyone else becuase mindful and sees what's wrong in the society.
11. She lights the match becuase she would rather die as a human then die less than a human.
12. The relationship between Montag and Mildred is not good becuase they are not really in love becuase they're focused on other things.

first impression on poem

My first impression on the poem is kind of odd, there's a lot going on in the poem and for my self some of the phrases the author uses are a little difficult to understand. I also feel that he is timid to do some things and he's growing old w out trying this things. So i believe he should do some of those things and not be scared or second guess it.

Gatsby, good or bad?

I believe gatsby is a good guy, he has built his whole life to hopefully meet up with daisy again. We don't know tons about him but he is a good guy and does what he can for others.

wow, i started watching the great gatsby movie in my second period and i'm kinda upset because i like to read the books before i watch the movie but it's a great movie so much detail that i seen that i was interested about in the book!! But now the book is kinda spolied for me :(

Chapter 3 was filled w different surprises that i was not expecting. Nick has a conversation w the gatsby finally, the owl eyes (gatsby i'm pretty sure) gets in an accident. The gatsby is similar to man in a movie that watched they both have lots of money and their neighbors really dont no about them but the movie guy doesn't do anything w his money and lives in an old run down house, while gatsby throws these huge parties and has these fancy cars and butlers.

If i had been invited to the party and went to it, i think would prolly be interested in meeting the host of it also. i would feel like an important person if i was invited to a party that big. It also sounds like they have a great variety of different food, and i love to eat so that would be great.

During chapter 1 i learned how Nick is neighbors with the Gatsby, he travels to the other town where  Tom and his wife live. Like many other stories there are antagonists and from what i understand, tom has that antagonist role cuz he's sort of like the bad guy. He's racist and he cheats on his wife.

NATURALISM

Naturalist characters are characters that will never life uo to their full potential, they are also "Characters are often depicted as being driven by forces beyond their control". An example i am going to use is a paper airplane, the paper airplane can fly and do cool stuff but not w out the control of myself. Therefore it makes the airplane a naturalist character because it will never life up to its full potential with out me.

Yes we can consider that music is literature. The difference between those genres is the style of how they are written and performed, but all in all they each have a certain story that they tell.
